Simoneauxs sent out

In May of 2011 Jesse and Brittney met serving together at the Nicholls St. University BCM (Baptist Collegiate Ministry) in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Between falling in love and seeking God together, they were married on December 31, 2011.

Through discipleship, they both learned early in their walk the importance of being missional, sharing the Gospel, storing the words of their Savior, Jesus Christ, in their hearts from Matthew 9:37: “The harvest is plentiful, and the laborers are few.” In 2009, Jesse went on his first mission trip and knew from that trip that God had called him to serve in missions some way or another. In 2011, Brittney served in the Dominican Republic on her first mission trip and also understood her call to missions as well. That trip was the beginning of a long lasting relationship with Immanuel Baptist Church (IBC) and Iglesia Bautista Evangélica de Macoris (IBEM).

For the past 12 years, they have served as short-term missions leaders at IBC of Morgan City, Louisiana, equipping and mobilizing teams to serve the people of the Dominican Republic. On those many different trips, they have had the opportunity to serve in construction projects, share their testimonies, serve Las Palmas School, the Mercy ministries, the Vision Land, IBEM, and refresh the missionaries on the field.

In November of 2022, while serving at IBEM on a short-term trip, the call changed from short-term to full-time.

The Mission

With three of their four kids and a great love for the people of the Dominican Republic, they are serving and a

part of the DRVision full-time.

Jesse is using his 20-plus years of experience in construction and problem-solving skills to help develop Vision Land and serve IBEM. He’s focused on building relationships to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost, through love and service.

With her gifts of nurturing and listening, Brittney is serving her family, Las Palmas, and the Mercy ministry. Together they serve by opening their home to small groups, cooking, and sharing life with others.

Their three youngest kids attend Las Palmas School. Caleb has a big heart of compassion and is excited to see where God would have him serve. Abigail is a little shy but excited to meet new friends. Johnnie Ann is a wrecking ball of excitement, ready to learn Spanish.

Their oldest son, Kason, is a United States Marine in

the Drum and Bugle Corps.

Over the past 12 years God has been preparing their family for this call. Developing a worldview and a compassion for the lost. They are faithfully serving in the work of God and

are a part of the growth of the DRVision.

Join them in prayer as they serve God in

San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
